Yes, this is regular work for Dave in South Florida homes. He tears out the damaged, moldy sections, fits fresh drywall, finishes it smooth and paints it, so the wall looks like it never happened. He repairs the damage; ongoing mold problems need the leak source fixed too.
Very little is too big. Doorknob holes and plumbing access cuts are quick patches. Whole sections damaged by leaks or mold get cut back to sound board and rebuilt. Send a description of the damage in your request and Dave will talk you through it.
A proper repair should disappear. Dave finishes, sands and primes the patch so the texture and paint sit the same as the surrounding wall. On the call back he will tell you honestly if a full wall repaint is the better finish.
Just clear what you can from the immediate work area. Dave protects floors and nearby furniture while he works, and dusty sanding is kept contained and cleaned up before he leaves.
